Activities...The
Christian Centre is so much more than a Sunday church. Our Sunday
worship services are a key time for us to come together and grow
in the Christian faith. Most of our other activities take place
during the week. Some of our work includes:

CHILDREN'S WORK
|
|

|
We
run a number of relevant, high-energy, midweek clubs for
children aged 5-13, Sunday coaching and fun for 2-16’s,
as well as holiday clubs and special events. This work
aims to inspire and train children of all abilities and
backgrounds to reach their potential, have healthy relationships
with others and learn about Christianity. |

TRAINING COURSES |
| At
any given time we are usually running a number of midweek
courses to help people with life-skills such as parenting
and how to have a strong and happy marriage, as well
as Christian coaching courses such as how to
pray. We are also developing a number of support groups
such as for those with children on the autistic spectrum,
those recently bereaved and a social group for single
parents.

SMALL GROUPS |
|

|
One
of the key parts of the Christian Centre outside of Sunday
meetings is our small groups. These are groups of 10-15
people to belong to, develop friendships and to grow in
faith. Some are based geographically and some
are age-specific. Typically they meet in homes, but some
meet in coffee shops in the city centre. |

ALPHA COURSE |
| This
is nationwide course, run by over 7000 churches, which
is designed for people who want to explore Christianity
in a non-threatening way. It runs over ten weeks, in
the evening, and includes a meal, a talk, and discussions
over coffee. No experience is needed, no question or
belief is off-limits. It gives you the chance to find
out what Christianity really is about and to come to
your own decision in an informed way. From September
2006 we will also be partnering with other Christians
in the city to run a lunchtime version of this course
in the city centre. |

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT |
|
|
Debt
and money management is a huge issue for many people in
today’s society. From time to time we run specific
financial management training days, which looks at running
a budget, managing debt, and practical tips to manage
your money smarter. |

DAY SCHOOL |
| The
King’s School is an independent co-educational
day school, pioneered by the Christian Centre, for children
from nursery age through to G.C.S.E. Based in the Meadows,
Nottingham, the school has grown from 65 to 129 children
since opening in 1986. The school seeks to promote good
standards of discipline, behaviour and respect for authority.
Warmth, firmness, forgiveness, consistency and truthfulness
are held up as virtues and contribute to the standards
of excellence expected in the life of the school. National
curriculum is taught and results are excellent. For

STUDENT WORK |
|

|
The
Christian Centre has many university students. Our work
seeks to inspire, train, harness talent and prepare for
the world of work. We run a café bar after our
Sunday evening services specifically for 18-25’s,
called “Impact Lounge” |

SENIOR CITIZENS |
| We
value senior citizens very highly and believe they should
be treated with dignity and honour. We visit the infirm
in their homes and run a weekly daytime group which
incorporates lunch, recreation and singing. We also
organize occasional daytrips and holidays for seniors. |

We
are proud to run a dynamic youth group on Friday evenings
called Destiny. This is for 13-18’s and includes
a mixture of music, games, video, wise words, multi-media
and much more. Destiny also works at a number of schools
in the city, organises weekends away, courses and special
events. More information about Destiny can be found on
